Organic Echinacea Root

Echinacea (or coneflower) has been traditionally used in herbalism and folk medicine for centuries, and was studied extensively in Europe before gaining popularity in the US in the 1970s. As its popularity grew so did its cultivation, enabling us to offer yet another high quality, single-origin herbal tea grown in the United States! This organic loose leaf herbal tea is not blended with any other ingredients and includes only the dried root of Echinacea angustifolia. Grown in western Washington State where the soil is rich in volcanic ash and minerals, our echinacea is fed pure glacial water from Mount Adams via the White Salmon River. When brewed, it offers a comforting aroma of warm milk and sweet hay and produces a liquor that is bright and shiny, like pale champagne. Naturally caffeine-free, the cup has a thick and creamy mouthfeel with light notes of red clover, fresh spring wheat and nut milk.

At Arbor Teas, we believe tea should be brewed to suit your personal taste. We’re happy to make recommendations to get you started, but don’t hesitate to experiment! When brewing your tea, your main considerations are tea quantity, water temperature, and steeping time. We recommend herbal and rooibos teas to be steeped for 5 to 7 minutes in water heated to a full rolling boil. For the best flavor, use fresh water whenever possible, and avoid overboiling. If you want a stronger brew, just use more tea. And don’t forget to re-steep your tea leaves to get the most out of your leaf!
