Arbor Teas Are Now Green Industry Hall of Famers
The International Green Industry Hall of Fame (IGIHOF for short), is a non-profit based in California that recognizes individuals and organizations committed to creating a better environment through green practices. After a blind nomination process and a review by their Board of Directors, Arbor Teas was selected for conducting our business with a genuine commitment to environmental stewardship. Other inductees this year included the likes of Interface, Roz Savage, URBEE, Nest, and many more - talk about honorable company!
The induction ceremony took place in San Jose, CA, on the campus of San Jose State University. After a day of sessions offered by a variety of inspiring presenters, the event concluded with the induction ceremony itself. It was emceed by none other than Bob Hilton - the voice of some of the most famous game shows in history! (When people mention the phrase, “Bob, tell ‘em what they’ve won” - he’s the Bob they’re referring to!)
I gave a brief acceptance speech. Alphabetically, we were up first... no pressure or anything! I won’t bore you with the full transcript, but here’s an excerpt that sums it up:
“We are truly honored to be one of this year’s inductees into the International Green Industry Hall of Fame. It is humbling to be counted among such an exceptional group of individuals and organizations. In our first 10 years of business, we've learned how important it is for small businesses to educate themselves, and be resourceful, creative, and tenacious in their pursuit of sustainability. We look forward to living up to this award as we move into our next 10 years.”
